Chatsworth House Country Fair

We as CAR are once again invited by the Chatsworth Estate through the Vintage Car Club to show our cars and on the following basis.
We can display up to 12 cars per day and the cost to each of us is £15 to include the car and two people, car entry and specific daily wrist bands will be supplied prior to event. This cost is not per day but a single charge for one, two or all three. We of course encourage owners with heritage cars to be there along with new A110s and who knows maybe even the odd A290 by then!
Our cars must be in place for 9.00 each day and for those who have been before the ‘health and safety’ 7.00pm departure of last year is currently being ‘negotiated’ with a suggestion that the practice agreed over many years with the vintage lads of having an escorted exit at 6.00pm be re instated but out over the Western entry bridge instead of the Northern Golden Gate !
This is a magnificent event with close to 100,000 visitors over the three days , lots of activities and a big number of traders plus food and drink. We would look to book a local hostelry one evening for a gathering , probably Saturday but more of that later. There are a goodly number of hotels around the area being North Derbyshire and we are assured by those who have been before that it’s a great place to spend a weekend anyway.
