The second Donington Historic Festival, a major fixture on the international historic racing calendar, will take place on Saturday 5th May and Sunday 6th May 2012. The event was launched in 2011 and the first Festival exceeded all expectations, delighting spectators and competitors alike. The second is set to follow suit, aiming to rival the very best UK and international historic motorsport events, and inviting only the very finest race series and the highest-calibre cars and drivers – but with ‘family-friendly’ ticket prices, well below the usual cost of top-quality historic motorsport weekends. As well as more than 300 world-class historic racing cars competing flat-out on the Donington circuit, the 2012 event will see 100s of classic cars on display, plus a trade village and plenty of off-track entertainment, including historic karting, taking place on a specially laid-out circuit using the Donington GP loop. Advance discounted tickets are on sale on the Donington website. Please check the club forum site before you buy tickets – last year members could buy 2 tickets for the weekend for £30 with a club member discount code – this may be available again.
