Rally Touristique

Plans are now well in hand for this years Autumn Touristique. Following the preliminary announcement in the last Newsletter a number of Club members have expressed an interest in taking part, predominantly those who have joined us in previous years. As stated in the last Newsletter, the event will once again be based at the Red Lion in Bobbington, on the west side of Wolverhampton. Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available (£80 per double room inc breakfast) and sufficient rooms have been reserved to cater for the expected numbers. For more info on the Red Lion see www,redlioninn.co.uk. Last year a number of members gathered on the Friday afternoon/evening and the current intention is to repeat the Friday night barbeque. The Touristique will start at 10.30 on Saturday morning and will comprise 80 or so miles through the Worcestershire countryside with suitable stop offs along the way. We have included a rest stop at lunch time for people to have a casual stretch of the legs and a roam around. There will be a dinner on Saturday evening with a choice of menu and a walking touristique on the Sunday morning. We may well extend the event until late Sunday afternoon. Our meal on Saturday night (£27.50 per person) is limited to 30 people. The event costs in previous years have been subsidised by the organisers but the Committee have resolved that this should no longer be the case as a result of which there will be a charge of £25 for each car taking part.
