Alpine-Renault Day at Renault Cannock
21st October
31/10/2010
Barry Jayes has arranged an Alpine-Renault day at the Renault Dealership in Cannock.
This is with Stuart Walker, a long time Alpine-Renault fan who is the Deputy Managing Director, Renault Retail Group U.K. He owns an immaculate Alpine A610 which is on almost permanent display in the Cannock showroom and which always attracts a lot of interest, in fact Stuart could have sold it many times over! The Cannock showroom often has Renault rally cars on display and recently had a Renault Megane Maxi taking centre stage, they’re always keen to support Renault motoring history hence the request to Club Alpine Renault to put on a display of cars at this dealership.
The date will be Sunday 31 October starting from around 10.00 a.m. until 4.00/5.00 p.m. We have been allocated all of the display space outside of the main showroom doors and Barry currently have interest from 11 members/cars although the display area can be adjusted to any size we want up to 30 + cars!
Renault will be providing a buffet lunch and hot & cold drinks all day. We will be allocated tables inside the main showroom to display Club items and regalia and Barry is currently liaising with Tom Philips from Grovewood P.R. who carries out a huge amount of PR for Renault. Tom will be arranging for local and regional press coverage plus the possibility of a radio interview or two!
This will be a great event at which to publicise our Club. We will have the Club pull up banners either outside or inside the showroom dependent upon weather along with all of the Club flag banners.
