Second Shropshire Saunter

Arrangements have now been finalised for our Second Summer Touristique, following the success of last years. Following complimentary comments from those who took part last year we have again chosen as our base the Red Lion Inn at Bobbington near Bridgnorth. Last year a number of members gathered on the Friday afternoon/evening and we shall be doing this again. Depending on numbers we may make a visit to a local place of interest during the afternoon. The Touristique will start at 10.30 on Saturday morning and will comprise 80 miles or so around Shropshire taking in Ludlow and the Clee Hills. There will be a dinner on Saturday evening with a choice of menu and a walking touristique around the historic town of Bewdley on the Sunday morning (1½ to 2 hours). Bed and breakfast accommodation has been reserved for the Saturday night. (£70 for a double room inc 2 x English Breakfasts). A number of last years participants have already indicated their intention to take part. Our meal on Saturday night (£27.50 per person) is limited to 30 people.
